Favaritx oh so good
Some pictures from a session at Favaritx. In a northerly this is dead side shore and the headland reduces and cleans up the swell (although unfortunately makes a mess of the wind until you get well downwind of it). I needed to walk about 10m minutes to get to the beach where I launched. The wind here is super gusty but it offers a nice sheltered rigging spot. From here I sailed down to the next beach where I found a decent wave. There is a rock which causes it to break and - since the rock becomes exposed in the troughs - it is best to pass just downwind of this. The reward though is some pretty nice frontside riding. There is a reform before the wave hits the beach, so unless it is huge I reckon it is viable. Definitely a spot to try on other occasions...
